This proposal is based on an on-going steadily evolving project. After the Kweneng Land Board allocated us a farm in a picturesque intense-forest of Maokagane lands, we realized its potential environment conservation tourism project.
Over five years we have pooled our resources to establish a borehole, solar system, species identification research, endangered plant propagation, collection of rare plants species into the area, and active mental innovation of our desire.
Sebokolotsana Nature project is located in the valley of deep foresty Maokagane lands near Lentsweletau village. All people who visit the area are splendidly surprised of the intensity of such a forest akin to the Okavango delta ones. Further to that, the area has more wild life albeit in an unprotected area and are actively being encroached into.
As a unique proposition, Sebokolotsana is actively developing ways to incorporate the viewing, photographing, and general studying of deadly Black Mamba snakes in their natural habitat as a tourism business. The area we occupy is replete with black mambas of varying sizes. We will do all we could to promote this as a fear-adrenalin- inducing, fantasy, and therapy project.
The project is focused on both international and local tourists. We are developing a comprehensive students’ programmes.

Agrotourism
Geographically the farm is ideally situated at a halfway point between two major tourism attractions of Chobe National Park – the Chobe riverfront extending from Ngoma to Kasane, and the wildlife rich Savute channel and marsh.
The first project ambition is to establish a self-catering camp with eight en-suite accommodation units that are completely self-contained to provide all the necessary facilities for tourists to cater for themselves.
Concurrently, and in fact already being established, the project ambition is also to establish a commercial, organic honey operation. Honey demand in Botswana outweighs supply considerably, and in an environment where wildlife conflict impacts every aspect of pastoral and arable farming, beekeeping and honey production is possibly the least afflicted by competing interests of endemic wildlife and customary agricultural activities.
Kashete Greens Resort (KGR) is a company incorporated and based in Botswana that seeks to establish itself as the first contemporary encounter and leading agro-ecotourism business into the Eastern Okavango Delta Panhandle (ODP); putting social responsibility and environmental conservation work at the heart of a profitable business model.
KGR provides guests with spacious tents and camping grounds, an onsite restaurant that focuses on farm-to-table cuisine and a range of delta-panhandle activities such as mokoro excursions, fishing, bird watching, and nature walks.
Our Core agro-ecotourism elements of the development will consist of six (6) rooms, an eco-lodge and campsite (20 camping grounds), a main building, with a restaurant, bar, deck with sweeping views, boardwalk down the steep cliff to boat stations and recreation facilities on the main channel to the river, parking and guardhouses as required.
The campsite mainly targets local individuals, low and middle-income travellers who are driven by cost-effective facilities and those who are looking for exciting destinations and outdoor places of choice.
Through our already-developed 0.5ha Net Shade ( climate-smart agriculture initiative), KGR aids the tourism industry value chain by producing organic vegetables. Specifically, strawberry and sweet pepper are one of the affordable niche markets, a high-value cash crop and the fastest-growing horticultural product, which is readily edible as table salad, fruit, and ingredient for baking cookies and processed as smoothies and juices at the farm level.
Hence it's a good strategic product mix for this agro-tourism investment for diverse populations in tourism destinations. The principal market for the resort is both international and local tourists.

Approximately 120,000 tourists visit the Okavango Delta annually. The main attractions being Moremi Game Reserve, lodges in wildlife areas and the rock-paintings of Tsodilo Hills. Tourists usually stay at permanent camps or lodges situated in those areas.
As a result, the tourism industry is the second leading contributor to the economy and if more tourism enterprises are developed especially by the locals, it will significantly diversify Botswana’s economy away from the unsustainable mineral led economy.
Therefore, as a way to harness from this opportunity I have decided to embark on a multi-million pula Agro-Tourism (lodge business) to be situated in between the two main attractions or World Heritage sites (Tsodilo hills and Okavango delta).
Xhauga being one of unique settlements abutting Shakawe village would therefore complement to the ever increasing population and heightened demand for accommodation in the region. My philosophy is to contribute to the socio economic development of Xhauga village by creating employment to the many youthful locals who have the necessary qualifications to work in a reputable hospitality industry.
The local communities are to benefit from this project as they will be directly and indirectly employed. Indirectly employed will be the many skilled basket weavers who can sell their basketry to the guests. Some will directly work on permanent basis as staff members and to be paid a salary on a monthly basis.

Kazungula even though the fastest growing village in an attractive tourism area it does not have an Entertainment and recreational centre that caters for its residents’ leisure needs. This presents a viable opportunity to construct an Entertainment & recreational centre to serve the leisure needs of the people of Kazungula and tourists at large.
We are to develop a Cultural village to provide accommodation and hospitality tourism related services in the vicinity of Okavango Eastern Panhandle (Mohembo to Gudigwa).

Embracing sustainability, the camp will harness the power of solar panels for its electrical needs, capitalizing on Botswana's abundance of sunlit days. Solar energy stands as an eco-conscious choice, devoid of greenhouse gas emissions and harmful pollutants during energy generation. This deliberate move significantly contributes to the global battle against climate change and air pollution.
By mitigating air pollutants and reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuel-based electricity sources, the camp actively promotes cleaner air and a healthier environment for the local community and the planet at large. Opting for solar energy aligns with sustainable practices, fostering a proactive stance on addressing the urgent global issue of climate change, ultimately ensuring the long-term sustainability of energy resources and safeguarding delicate ecosystems frequently impacted by resource extraction.
In acknowledgment of the importance of responsible water management, we will drill a borehole equipped with a mini-treatment facility to cater to the entire water requirements of the camp. This initiative seeks to alleviate strain on existing water sources, particularly for functions with higher water consumption, such as landscaping, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable resource utilization.
