The site is partially developed with a fully functional ablution block inspected and approved by the department of building control services, water connection and a fenced plot with a sliding gate. There is also an approved plan for the reception area which the company was not able to construct yet due to lack of funds.
Shalakwe Hills-Inn Resort (Pty) Ltd is a Hospitality Company which started off by operating two (2) finely built domestic guesthouses, one in Plateau, Kasane and the other one in Masetlheng, Tlokweng. The one in Tlokweng is the first to kick start operations. It started operations on 11 July 2018 but has been converted to Shalakwe Hills-Inn Resort Head office due to low occupation rate around the Greater Gaborone area experienced during and post Covid-19 pandemic, which means it is no longer operating as a bed and breakfast.
The one in Plateau, Kasane commenced operations on the 1st September 2020 at Plot 3008 and it is still performing exceptionally well post the pandemic. The domestic guesthouses are operating in the residential plots owned by the Directors of the Company, and they are set up in the serene, uptown, fast booming and finely built locations in Kasane and Tlokweng. The guesthouse in Kasane boast of modernly built servant quarters and a Four (4) bedroomed house with all the bedrooms fitted with private baths (ensuite). All the bedrooms are fitted with either a comfy king bed, queen bed or twin single size beds. Other fittings in the rooms include a flat screen smart television, air conditioners, bar fridge and a study table. The lodging boasts exquisite furnishing and décor with soothing warm earthy colours. It has a lounge which operate as a reception fitted with a reception desk and a dining area. The garden is spacious and allow for each room to have its outdoor sitting area. The guesthouse in Kasane has a spacious deck at the back of the yard designed to overlook the road from Ngoma border and the Chobe National Park. The deck is also popular as a sight-seeing spot for wild animals as they roam the majestic Chobe National Park.
Our target market includes government officials, business people, international tourists, sports men and d religious travellers. The business is expected to employ more than (50) permanent employment for people within the Okavango area.

It has a good content of flora and fauna and enjoys proximity with many strategic resources. The company has so far constructed an ablution block with showers plus a cottage that shall be used by one member of the administration team. We are constructing the facility at a very slow pace because our financial and other resources are limited. To implement the project more effectively, we will need your financial assistance. When the facility is complete, it will have 5 chalets that can accommodate up to 2 people each and 10 camping grounds. The accommodation department shall have the support of a restaurant, bar and convenience shop. Since the property is very close to the Chobe River, tourists can enjoy fishing, boating and allied acitivies.
